World Environment Day Celebration jointly organized by Nansen Environmental Research Centre, KSCSTE–Institute for Climate Change Studies (ICCS), Kottayam, Centre for Earth Research and Environment Management (CEREM), Kochi at ICCS Kottayam and St. Philomena's GHS, Viloonni.
The conference is organized by the Nansen centers in India and Norway under the bilateral indo-Norwegian research project, climate change impact on the marine coastal ecosystem of Kerala funded by the research council of Norway

Nansen Environmental Research Centre India (NERCI) was established in 1999 as a joint venture between Indian and Norwegian partners. NERCI conducts basic and applied research projects in ocean and atmospheric sciences funded by national and international agencies, organizations and industry. It is a non‐profit environmental and climate research centre within the Nansen Group of research centres

Research Activites
NERCI has expertise in development and implementation of algorithms for satellite remote sensing data analysis, numerical ocean and coastal models for ocean circulation and eco‐system studies as well as data assimilation techniques through regional and international cooperation.
