Prof. P.V. Joseph presently the member of the Board of Directors of NERCI. He was part of the India Meteorological Department for thirty-two years, working in Geomagnetism, and in the operational jobs of Weather Prediction, Aviation Meteorology and Cyclone Warning. Served as Director of the Meteorological Training School of IMD at Pune where he taught tropical meteorology and weather prediction at advanced levels. Ajith Joseph Presently the Principal Scientist and Executive Director of Nansen Environmental Research Centre - India (NERCI), a non profit research centre accredited by DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology for environment and climate research (http://www.nerci.in). Doctorate in Physical Oceanography from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India in 1998 with graduation in Mathematics and Masters in Oceanography. Dr. N. Nandini Menon Doctorate in Marine Biology from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India. She joined NERCI as Senior Scientist in 2009 and has twenty years of post doctoral research experience and nineteen years of teaching experience. Before joining NERCI, she had been working at CUSAT in the capacity of Research Associate in projects funded by various national agencies like MoEF, DBT, CSIR, DST and MoES and as Ad-hoc lecturer in the Dept. of Marine Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry, CUSAT. Dr. Bindu G is presently scientist in Nansen Environmental Research Centre, India (NERCI). She has been awarded PhD in Meteorology from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), India in 1998. She is an approved research guide of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS). Presently principal Investigator of DST funded project on ‘Atmospheric carbon sequestration potential of trees in Kochi City under the changing environmental scenario’ and has completed one project on Assessment of carbon sequestration potential of different species of mangroves existing in Kunhimangalam area, a coastal district in the State of Kerala under CSR initiatives of Appollo Tyres. Dr. Syam Sankar Doctorate in Marine Sciences From Goa University, Goa. He joined Nansen Environmental Research Centre – India in 2012 as a Project Scientist. Had been working at the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF) as a Project Scientist before joining NERCI. Dr. Abish B Doctorate in Atmospheric Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology (2008-2011), with CSIR fellowship. The outcome of his research advances knowledge on the aerosol-cloud interactions and its influence on the atmospheric circulations, which is a least explored facet over the location. During his MTech dissertation at Space Physics Laboratory, (VSSC, Trivandrum), he was entrusted to associate with the ISRO-GBP land campaign, which was a major campaign conducted at the Indo-Gangetic Plain. Poornima Rajan M.tech in Remote sensing and wireless sensor networks from Amrita University, Coimbatore. She joined NERCI as Junior Research Fellow under DST funded project entitled "Atmospheric carbon sequestration potential of trees in Kochi City under the changing environmental scenario "(2016 - 2019) on 3rd April 2016. The idea of the project is to estimate the sequestration potential of the city with the existing vegetation pattern, Projecting the carbon balance for business as usual scenario and potential scenario and suggest measures to be taken for a sustainable city.
